Photo A Day – What?? – Lebanon, TN Newborn, Child & Family Photographer

So, to say that I totally stink at taking & posting a photo a day is the understatement of the year.  I usually think about it after I get my kids to bed and there’s nothing to take a photo of & no light with which to take it!  I said from the beginning I wouldn’t be hard on myself for not doing it every day, and I’m glad I let myself off the hook before I started messing up..ha!  I’ve actually taken some since the last one posted here, but haven’t uploaded them yet, so I’m just going with what I have!

Grant started getting sick on Sunday night, and Claire started with it on Monday night.  Since then, they have both been pretty pitiful and all I’ve done is be the “holder.”  I’ve had to cancel sessions and other things I had going on this week and have pretty much been on house arrest!   Grant told me on Monday I had to be his servant because he was “so sick”..ha!  So not sure where he got that, although I do think he quite enjoys the babying that comes along with a high fever.  They are both fever free as I type, so I’m crossing my fingers that they can return to the land of the living tomorrow.  I’ve heard that everyone at his school is sick though, so I’m not really sure how much I want him there.  He tested negative for both strep & flu, so I feel like exposing him to either when his immune system may not be totally back to normal could be a very bad thing.  I guess we’ll see how the night goes.

Back to the post at hand!!!  The photos I took of my own going’s on during January!

Anyone that knows Claire knows that “lamby” is a must have at bedtime/naptime/hurt time!  We had an unfortunate incident at the beginning of the month and lamby spent the night in the childcare room at the gym.  The next day I went as soon as they opened to rescue him, but it also prompted to me to find & buy a new one just in case.  So, now you see, we have 2 lambies – one who has seen WAAAY more lovin’ than the other.

Claire’s birthday party was on the 8th & I love her little face while everyone was singing to her!

I know I can’t post pictures of my little girl like this for much longer, and I just couldn’t resist this one.  Seriously, I could eat her little legs up!

On Claire’s actual birthday it snowed AGAIN & we spent the day playing!

Because it snowed on my girl’s birthday, she took cupcakes on her next “school” day.  They were so yummy, but I am so not a food photographer :).

Grant has become our video gamer..it’s all he wants to do & it drives me CRAZY!  We resisted all of these things for a long time, and this year he got a DS and and XBOX 360 & has really gotten into it all.

This is a normal every night occurence.  She lays in my bed and goes to sleep while I work.  It was completely dark in our room when I took this, hence the graininess.

And it snowed…..AGAIN!

 I was really reaching for a photo this day I guess…  I always help Grant brush his teeth, but I’m trying to turn over some of the control to him.

Thanks to our good friends, we saw the circus in style again this year from a suite & loved it.  I’m a huge fan of the trapeze & shared with a friend while there that I used to secretly want to try this…not now though :).

Claire has really started playing with her babies and I can tell her imagination is really starting to get alot bigger.  I’m pretty sure these girls were both in time out.  The things she says to them make me laugh (and cringe)!

I’m hoping to get back on track with this & post regularly if we ever get well AND stop having snow days!   I hope you’re staying warm & healthy!
