You may have noticed the little sliding sidebars over on the left hand side of the blog. The top one is a link to my Facebook page. When I set this up, I was determined not to even look at my “likes,” but let’s be truthful, I can’t help it. I love seeing that number inch up. I’m not a sales person, really..I’m not. I hate rejection, so I’ve been hesitant to promote my page, and send suggestions, etc. But here it goes, I would LOVE it if you would “Like” me. I would love it even more if you invite your friends to “Like” me. I plan to post on the page more, and maybe even have a contest every now and then.
The second sliding sidebar is a place to sign up for my newsletter. I haven’t sent one out yet, but plan to do them every now and then. Don’t worry, you’re not signing up for an inbox full of junk. I won’t send them often, and when I do, it will be stuff you definitely will want to know about!
So, these are my little plugs just for me. These will be the two places that I will advertise sales, mini sessions, special deals, contests, etc before any where else.
A word about Fall Sessions –
Fall sessions are booking very quickly. I know everyone wants that perfect Christmas Card picture. Please do not wait until the leaves start changing to call me to book, or it may be too late. If you want a fall session for October / early November, you need to book it asap so I can get you on my schedule. With any fall sessions, I will present a couple of Christmas card options as well. If you have had a session already this year, and are interested in seeing some of the card designs, please let me know.
One more thing…
I will be in Louisville, KY on Oct 2nd & 3rd, and offering a limited number of mini-sessions. I am offering super special pricing, and would love to see you and your family there! Please contact me today if you would like additional information about these. I will be doing a more official post about these in the next few days!
Lastly, I just want to say thank you to all of you who have supported me in this. I still question daily if I can really do this. There seem to be photographers every where I turn, and I don’t want to be just another “mom with a camera.” The internet has made things so easily accessible, and it makes the world seem a lot smaller. There’s so much out there to learn, and so few hours in a week. In all sincerity, I’ve probably become a little too obsessed with learning all of the skills that go along with it…that’s not to say I’ve perfected them, by any means! It’s just that I have such an intense desire to know how things are done, and then do my best to emulate them. It’s so gratifying when something FINALLY clicks! My time management skills have been horrible lately though, and I need to put my family back at #1. I’m considering taking some big risks right now, and while it’s so exciting, it’s also very scary. I am not a risk taker AT ALL, so I’d just ask that if you have a prayer to spare that you say one for me and my family as we weigh many things. This would not be possible without all of you, and thank you just does not seem sufficient!
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!!
Don’t question yourself! You have a God given talent! I just know God has amazing plans for you to use it!
ditto Kelli, as you’ve heard me tell you a thousand times. And I’ve already been praying, girl. Just do it! 🙂
Girl you have talent. You are doing a wonderful job. Keep it up!
