Harper – 12 days old – Lebanon, TN Newborn Photographer

Have I mentioned lately how blessed I feel to be photographing all of these brand new babes?!!  I am in love with them.  Whenever I have a newborn session, I actually get out of bed when the alarm clock goes off (and not an hour later) because I look so forward to the sessions!  There really is nothing sweeter than watching new parents with their newborns.  I love hearing about their deliveries and watching their faces light up when we finally get “the shot” they were hoping for.  Today was no exception to any of these things.  I met Jamie & her husband (and of course baby Harper) for the first time today.  Even though Facebook tells me we have lots of mutual friends, somehow I don’t think we’ve ever met. 

Little Harper was SO alert when I got there, and I could not get over the eye contact she was giving me over & over.  Every now and then, she would close her eyes into little slits, but then quickly open them again.  We started off with daddy/daughter shots and I LOVE this one!  Someone tell me why my husband didn’t do newborn shots with my babies!!

Jamie is quite literally a glowing new mommy!

Harper’s room is SO SO cute!  I love that it’s the perfect shade of light blue with little pink accents.  Precious!!

After Harper got a full belly, I knew she was tired, but she was not giving it up.  I was very patient and ended up coaxing her into a deep sleep and that was it. She was down for the count the rest of time, and let us do with her as we pleased!

Is it bad that I covet her headband for myself? :)!

And at the very end of the session, Harper cracked what appeared to be a little tiny smile!

I am so happy to have met you guys!  Your baby girl is just precious, and I can tell what a huge blessing she is to you!  Congratulations & thank you for trusting me to capture these sweet fleeting moments!
