So I made a vow awhile back to catch up on blogging my own photos, so this brings me to Easter! I think I did post a photo or two from it, and I know I posted some on Facebook, but they seem to just get buried and I like looking back on them here much much better! Easter seems like forever ago…oh yeah, it was forever ago! Holidays are so much more fun now that both of my children actually get what’s going on and get excited about everything. We are fortunate enough to have a wonderful group of friends in our Sunday School class at church. We don’t get together as often as we used to due to everyone’s demanding schedules, but one of these awesome families hosted an Easter Egg Hunt just before Easter for alot of the kids. It was such a blast and at the time, was such a beautiful glimpse of spring to come! My kids, of course, were just super excited about they candy. I can’t imagine where they get that from!
I almost forgot to color eggs this year! I think we ended up doing it on Easter Eve! I have never waited that long, and honestly, considered ditching it altogether. Grant & Claire love doing it though, and I’ve finally let go and let them do it their way, even if it’s not the right my way. Easter morning they awoke to a few fun surprises and lots and lots of candy. I’m embarassed to say that I still have a huge bucket full of Easter candy on top of the fridge! I’m thinking that since Halloween is just around the corner, I probably should trash that, huh?! We headed to church after that, where the Easter bunny made his annual appearance. Claire still isn’t sure about abnormally large rabbits, but she did get close enough to be in the picture.
For the first time since I’ve dated Pookie, we didn’t go to his family’s house after church. The Predators happened to be playing hockey that day, and it put a little wrench in our holiday plans. Our good friends invited us to their family shindig that evening and we had a blast there! We’re so lucky to have such good friends and family so close by!! Happy Easter..or not :)!
Oh my goodness. that last picture captures your kiddo’s personalities to a “t”!! Grant is getting some easter bunny lovin’, I love it!
