Let me start out by saying this week has been crazy! If you are waiting to see you preview, it’s coming – promise! I’m knee deep in “busy” season, and the side effect has been a 3 day headache! I’ve started this post so many times, only to not finish it!
Cindy & Ronnie were married last weekend just outside of Louisville, KY. Cindy & my mom grew up together, and Ronnie went to high school with them also. Now, many years later, they’ve reconnected and had a beautiful ceremony, despite Mother Nature’s antics.
The wedding was held at the groom’s sister’s gorgeous home. They had a tent set up on the front lawn, and everything was just perfect. The bride & groom did see each other before the wedding, but not after they had their wedding attire on.
After making sure everything was just as it should be, they both ventured inside to get ready for the ceremony!
Mother Nature decided to make things interesting and whipped up 30 mph winds for the occasion. It ended up ripping the ties on one side of the tent, so the top had to come off. It also made keeping the arch up during the ceremony pretty interesting. The temperature also dropped about 20 degrees (or more) just in time for the ceremony. The bride had to check things out on her phone to see if we were doomed.
Although cold, and a little bit windy, the wedding went on just as planned. Thankfully, the rain held off until after the ceremony. It was so beautiful and heartfelt. Cindy’s son walked her down the aisle.
The skies were pretty ominous looking, but resulted in a cool backdrop for the ceremony.
Everyone hung around the house for awhile and had a few drinks before heading to the reception.
just a few of the details!
Off to the reception at the German American Club – fun place!
These two were so fun to be around. I had a blast photographing their wedding, and hanging out with my family too! Congratulations you guys! I hope you had a wonderful honeymoon!
